I put 'newish' for the title 'cause I'm not really new, but I haven't been around for a loooooooooong time. I was originally here as Loopythewolfpup, but I forgot the password for that and everything

But anyways, I figured I'd make my return, but it seems no one is really here anymore o.0?? Oh well, I'll just leave this here for people to see

What furries do really depends on an individual level, but for the most part they just generally like to draw, write, construct the suits, and play as their characters in online chatrooms, forums, wherever.

And sure, lots do wear "partial costumes" (tails and ears) at conventions, but not in every day life. There are usually small furry gatherings here and there, when they can't get to a convention or just want to meet up more often.

What? Really what does the other 90% do? I only 'just' learned about this from someone who doesn't care for furries.
I thought furries, fursuits were people who dressed up in either a complete costume or partial costumes. Usually with their own persona and can occasionally go to meet ups, if they live close by.

I did go to Chicago ACen, last week. And I did happen to see a couple of fursuits. Of course I gave them hugs...

Sad as I am to say this, HFF is generally dead. However, that doesn't mean that it can't be resurrected...but it won't be a zombie. No brains. Eww.

Regardless, welcome to Haven For Furries. I am Chuskay, resident owner and creator of this forum. Now, I'm not going to assume anything, but you did say that furries are hobbyists that dress up in costumes (known as fursuits, to furries). Hi....

just wondering if there's anyone still active online here? Wouldn't want to talk to an empty spot.
I'm new, yay. New to this hobby, new to the knowledge of furries.
First and fore most, I am originally from B.C. but recently (2 years) moved to S.K. (That's British Columbia and Saskatchewan to you Americans)
So, living out in the boonies I fell behind times. After hearing about dressing up in costumes was an actual hobby, aside from All Hallow's Eve (my favourite time of the year); I finally found home!
I feel a little ashamed that it seems that everyone has signed up with a destined character, whereas I have no idea what I am.
I started making my first costume, and am sure to make plenty of different animals.
To name one animal I related to the most by personality, it would be the cat.
Anyways, I have the privilege of going to ACen this year in Chicago, I'm sure I'll see some furries too.
It'd be nice to get a reply from anyone!!
